Guarantee terms and conditions
Guarantee claim
If you are not satisfied, or if a product is faulty, you can make a guarantee claim at the place where you bought the product (in the shop or via the installation firm). As a customer, you must be able to prove the date you purchased the product by producing a receipt or a copy of the invoice supplied on delivery.
Guarantees
In order for a guarantee to be valid, the mixer must be installed and used correctly. Pipes and other parts must be installed professionally in conformity with valid industry regulations. The guarantee does not cover frost damage or damage and functional faults arising as a result of water impurities. Neither does the guarantee cover damage caused by incorrect cleaning (scrubbing or use of abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents), or damage arising from normal wear such as surface scratches, incorrect or faulty installation, use of non-original spare parts, inappropriate use of the product or failure to follow installation or maintenance instructions.
The guarantee does not cover third party costs or costs that do not directly relate to the supplied product. Any such costs should be covered by the installation firm’s or the user’s insurance policies.
The guarantee is not valid if the product is or has been marked as an “Non-functional” display product.
Product liability does not cover damage resulting from stress corrosion caused by characteristics of the water or surrounding environment (e.g. increased or negative pressure or stress in pipelines), or from incorrect installation.
2 year guarantee
Under the Consumer Sales Act, our products are covered by a two (2) year guarantee for manufacturing and material faults. FM Mattsson products are guaranteed for 2 years starting from the purchase date, or, if there is no purchase date, for 2 years after first use of the product (the customer must be able to prove the date of the final inspection of the installed product). The guarantee claim must be approved by FM Mattsson.
In addition, FM Mattsson provides a functional guarantee valid for 5 years after first use of the mixer, under which we supply new parts free of charge while the customer pays the installation costs. What the functional guarantee includes:
5 year limescale guarantee
Even if you have hard water in your home, this will not affect our mixers’ function. We guarantee this. We undertake to rectify any faults if the performance of a mixer control unit is impaired as a result of limescale deposits. The guarantee covers all FM Mattsson safety mixers with a temperature and pressure compensating thermostatic cartridge.
5 year temperature guarantee
We guarantee that the temperature will remain within the range of +- 1°C while the water is running, even if the temperature and pressure in the pipelines vary in accordance with SS-EN 1111. You must have access to a hot water supply in order for the guarantee to be valid. The guarantee covers all FM Mattsson safety mixers with a temperature and pressure compensating thermostatic cartridge.
5 year pressure guarantee
Our globally unique soft-close function prevents pressure shocks and impact in your pipelines. We guarantee this. We promise to repair the fault if the mixture’s closure time is less than 0.2 seconds. The guarantee covers all FM Mattsson single-lever mixers with soft closing function.
5 year drip guarantee
We guarantee that the control units for our safety mixers and single-lever mixers will not cause leakage for 5 years after first use of the mixer.
The functional guarantee does not cover batteries, aerators or other parts that require regular maintenance. Neither does it cover faults caused by dirt or incorrect installation (see the accompanying installation and maintenance instructions).
10-year Functional Guarantee
Our new 9000XE series is equipped with the very latest technology and is our most sustainable series ever. We commit to providing a new spare part free of charge if the function of a single-lever insert or regulating element in a product from the 9000XE range is impaired within 10 years from the product being put into use.
The functional guarantee does not cover batteries, radiation collectors, or other parts that require regular maintenance. It also does not cover errors caused by dirt or incorrect installation. Please refer to the included assembly and service instructions.
10 year spare parts guarantee
Our products are of high quality and designed to be used for many years. FM Mattsson supplies spare parts to maintain correct function for at least 10 years after the mixer is discontinued from our range. For accessories and shower systems, we guarantee supply of replacement products or equivalent materials to maintain product function. For coated products that are not chrome-plated, we guarantee spare parts for 2 years after the product is discontinued from our range.
